Everything was simply perfect. Starting from the reservation way before we arrived I contacted the hotel to ask about parking and they supplied exact and very easy explanation to get to the hotel parking which they reserved a spot for me (highly convenient). The staff at the reception were very informative and pleasant. They were eager to give us explanations about what there is to do in the city and also where to go eat (we didn't book breakfast at the hotel).
The hotel is located right in the center but yet at a very quiet spot and within walking distance from every touristic site.
The rooms were very comfortable and clean.
Overall perfect stay, too bad we could stay for only one night. Definitely coming back :)

In the course of driving to several places outside of Paris, Caen was the first place to stay. I was enchanted with both Caen and the hotel Moderne.
Room was small but it is better than Hyatt in Paris. It is like designerâs choice.
Most of all, breakfast is the best ever in traveling in France, among 6 cities.
Best taste, best ingredients.
And hoteliers in Moderne are so kindly and professional.
Indigo parking lot nearby the hotel was good It was completely safe and reasonably cheap.
I would like to visit Moderne again.

I must say this is a great location. If youâre going to explore the city the hotel was very well-maintained. The room we ended up in was a very nice room towels were nice. All the amenities were good. Had to call down and ask for body lotion and so forth The only problem we had is when we checked in the room we had had an old bathtub very high which because my husbandâs a veteran and has hip issues could not manage we went down to the receptionist. She was not that overly helpful but if we gave her another âŹ10 a night she would move us to a room with a walk-in, which we did. but I really felt they shouldâve upgraded us because of this issue with no any extra cost, We had some issues with the cost,of breakfast what it said on the website, but that was taken care of. I must say that the one person that was very helpful in the hotel was Aurniel ( not sure of spelling )

The taxis are very expensive in this city so make sure you check out the buses if youâre coming in from the train they have no taxis outside so you must call
